Tree planting for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee
On Thursday 17th March 2022 we were very honoured to be invited to join other schools to plant an oak tree at Harmony Woods for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations. We are part of the 10,000 children who over the past 10 years from 2012 to 2022 have helped to plant trees and establish the wood as it is today.
Lottie, Rory, Mrs Appleby and Mrs Hawkings went and had a fantastic morning planting. We were helped with our tree by the Lord lieutenant and Councillor Phil North. BBC South Today were also there and so we got to be on the television too!
