Applying for a reception place (Year R)

If your child was born between 1 September 2022 and 31 August 2023, they will be eligible to start school in the school year beginning September 2027

Key dates for main round admissions for September 2027

• Applications open - 1 November 2026
• Deadline for applications - 15 January 2027
• Notification date for on-time applicants - 16 April 2027
• Waiting list established - 30 April 2027

Applications received after the closing date will not be processed until after all on-time applications have been considered. Late applications will be considered from 30 April 2027 onwards. To make a late application, please see the County website:
