Worship working party

At Vernham Dean Gillum's the children are at the heart of their own learning. This is transferred also into Worship. The Year 5/6 children support the Headteacher or adult leading the Worship and the children lead our Prayers and the sending blessing at the end of Worship.

We also have a Worship working party who once a month lead the Worship in school. They prepare the resources they need and deliver a Worship based on our Collective Worship for that half term. The Worship working party is made up of KS2 children.  We are very excited to have Rev Julie coming in to our school next half term to support the children in planning and delivering Worship regularly going forward.

As well as this, each class also leads their own class Worship each half term.

A group of children in Year 3/4 were really passionate to deliver a Worship on saving the environment. This links to our Christian Values of Courage and Compassion.  The passion that this group ahs in wanting to protect our planet and encouraging the rest of the school to do so is the Courage and the Compassion is how we respect the world we live in. Well done girls for wanting to change the world!

Save the environment!
