Silence in court! This week we have found out how persuasive a piece of writing can be, by putting The Highwayman on trial. The whole class was involved, we had a full jury, judge, press, police and defence and prosecution teams, speeches from both teams were delivered including a suming up and the jury made a decision and found the The Highway man not guilty as the defence team had raised doubt in their minds so they couldn't convict him. In maths we have been mastering measuring and drawing angles and have all grown in confidence throughout the week. In our RE lesson we looked at two versions of the Christmas story told in the Bible and looked for differences and similarities. We are continuing to enjoy The Box of Delights in our reading journey as well as exploring the planets and researching Alexander the Great in Science and History.
