Happy New Year
A Happy New Year to you all 2022!
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas break. Here are a few reminders as we start the term.
Tuesday 4th January 2022 is the first day back and it is the usual PE day and so all children are to attend in PE kit please.
School clubs will start as of the 10th January 2022- More details to follow when we return on Tuesday. Premier clubs will start from the 4th January 2022. Year R can attend on Tuesdays with Maple if they wish from 3.30pm to 4.15pm and KS2 is on Wednesdays. I am still waiting to hear as to whether they have the ability to staff a Thursday club also and I will communicate with parents when I have the outcome.
Earlier start for Early morning club- As you will remember this was taken to the Governors last term, who had some questions which they asked me to look into. It will be taken to the Resources Committee this term where a decision will be made.
Parents please wear face coverings on the school site unless you are exempt in which case please where your lanyard to show exemption.
The self-isolation period has changed so please ensure you check the latest Government Guidance. This means that: Since Wednesday 22 December, the 10 day self-isolation period for people who record a positive PCR test result for COVID-19 has been reduced to 7 days in most circumstances, unless you cannot test for any reason.
Individuals may now take LFD tests on day 6 and day 7 of their self-isolation period. Those who receive two negative test results are no longer required to complete 10 full days of self-isolation. The first test must be taken no earlier than day 6 of the self-isolation period and tests must be taken 24 hours apart. This also applies to children under 5, with LFD testing at parental or guardian discretion. If both these test results are negative, and you do not have a high temperature, you may end your self-isolation after the second negative test result and return to your education setting from day 8.
Home learning will be set on Google Classroom or Tapestry (Year R) for any children who are self-isolating.
We will be returning as normal otherwise but please be aware that this may be subject to change if we have increased cases of COVID in school. I will inform you of any changes in the event that any changes need to occur.
