This term in PSHE, we have been learning about the importance of exercise and eating a healthy, well-balanced diet. We discussed which foods we could eat a lot of and which foods we should only have as a treat. We also talked about the importance of having a good bedtime routine and keeping ourselves clean.
The last lesson was about Stranger Danger and we watched a short video called "Not Everyone is Nice" by Frederick Alimonti. This story provided a great deal of discussion about not talking to strangers.
Jigsaw is our PSHE scheme of work. It helps to equip children to understand who they are, to be healthy and happy and good, caring people.
There is a strong emphasis on emotional wellbeing and mental health as they learn to meditate and be mindful during the "Calm me" session. Just ask the children to tell you about Jigsaw Jenie!
