There is no Year 3 video tutorial today, as I have differed from the White Rose home learning, as I did not feel that Year 3 needed more practise on telling the time to 5 minutes.

Unfortunately, just like White Rose, Classroom Secrets have now decided to stop making answer videos and make a lot of their games for members only! I cannot upload paid resources as anyone can access this webpage who has not paid for the resources.

As always if you need a particular question/answer explained I can do an explanation video for you... You may just have to bare with me some days as I am in school with key worker children so it may take a bit longer for the videos to be made for you.

VDGS We're All In This Together

Thank you to all of those that took part in the video. I hope that it makes you smile.
Just to let you know that my YouTube settings are set so that you cannot find this video by searching for it, it is only accessible by having this link.

Just to let you all know I am still waiting on White Rose to publish the answers for Friday's maths. If they are not posted in the next couple of days I will write them out myself and put them on here for you.

Maths answers are not available yet but I will post them when White Rose publish them on their website.

Dear Year 3s,

I am aware that your maths activity for yesterday was really tricky so please do not feel disheartened if you found it difficult! I think that equivalent fractions are possibly the hardest thing in the Year 3 curriculum. You have another lesson on it today. I have found and attached some resources below to help you.

Equivalent Fractions

Dear Year 4s,

I understand that we have not come across decimals in maths a huge amount so far and that they can be tricky to understand. Below is a link to bitesize for some extra help if you are struggling. Please do get in touch with me on the blog if there is anything specific that you need explaining.

Miss C's Easter Logo Quiz

How well do you know chocolate logos? Miss C has put them into a grid, but sneakily covered them up with Easter eggs. Can you work out which logos they are?

I will post the answers on Sunday evening when I upload your work on Monday...

History - Continue some research into Britain from 1900-2000. Below are some prompt questions you may like to focus on...

What key events were there?

How did fashion change over the decades?

How did music change over the decades?

How was school in the 20th century different from school today?

How has transport changed since 1900?

What did people do for fun from 1900-2000?

How has technology changed since 1900?

What were the most impressive inventions from 1900-2000?

What monarchs were on the throne throughout the century and how are they related to our Queen today?

Congratulations to Year 4 for winning the first round of the TTRockstars tournament.

You will be competing against Year 6 for 1st place. Year 3 do not feel disheartened as you will be playing against Year 5 for the 3rd place spot. I would love for both year groups to win against the Beech class year groups. I believe in you Oak!

You have from 8.30am on Monday, until 7.30pm on Friday. Get rocking laugh

Radio 1 Shout out

Because it is difficult to get into contact with you all without us being able to be together in our classroom, I have had to get creative in ways to contact you. Here is a message for you all that was live on Radio 1 on Sunday afternoon (you guys are basically famous now). Hope it makes you smile!

Kid Normal Part 3

Good morning all,

There seems to be some confusion with answers that I posted for yesterday's work. I have uploaded the version of the packs that I have for your reference.

  • I was expecting Year 3 to have done page 31 (ordering numbers) and page 21 (first cross word in the pack).
  • Year 4 should have been page 31 (add 2 4 digit numbers) and page 21 (2nd cross word in the pack).

I thought doing page numbers would be easier not more confusing! Apologies for any inconvenience. Please do not feel the need to preprint packs, I will just set activities by being more specific about the name of the activity. smiley

I have had a request to explain Question 2A for the Year 4 maths yesterday. I tried to upload the video to the website, but the file was too large, so I've had to be creative in how I could get the video to you and make a YouTube channel! I apologise for the dodgy screen rotation, next time I will make sure that it is the right way up (I'm learning too!). Hope it is helpful... laugh
